Assigned Halal Inspectors Roles

For each certified processing facility, AHCB assigns a special  team of its trained halal officers who assist the facility’s management in following ways:

 

  • These halal officers implement the Halal Assurance management System (HAS)

 

  • The halal officers observe the daily halal slaughtering to make sure each bird is individually halal blessed at the time of slaughtering. 

 

  • The halal officers  make sure the halal slaughtering and production process are carried out in accordance with the approved halal ACHB program.

 

  • Each muslim officer is required to bless each bird or animal individually.

 

  • The team establishes Halal Critical Point (HCP) and record each NCR occurrence.

 

  • The officers assist the facility to implement a corrective action on spot to over come the NCR.

 

  • The team assist the facility to keep its halal slaughter records for future audit purposes.

 

  • Officers make sure all fresh slaughtered Halal meat and poultry is properly tagged “HALAL”.

 

  • The halal officers are required to check the cold storage space daily to make sure no non halal products are stored together.

 

  • The officers verify the cold storage room temperature as well as the product temperature daily.

 

  • Weekly meetings, if required,  with the plant management to make sure everybody is always on the same page.​
